The morning session was chaired by Shirley-Anne Somerville MSP (SNP) who gave an interesting report from parliament. The morning presentations were focused on issues of immediate interest to practising allotment gardeners.

After lunch the chair was passed on to Jim Tolson MSP (Lib Dem). After his enthusiastic parliamentary report we heard from allotment associations around the country. The delegates then split up into their workshop groups. Finally there was an opportunity for informal networking and discussion over a welcome cup of tea.
