Scottish Allotments and Gardens Society

The timing of the conference was changed this year with the AGM held at the end of the afternoon rather than at the beginning of the morning. This meant that the morning conference session could spend more time on general issues. This year we concentrated on issues of particular relevance to Local Authority officers and others with responsibility for managing and supporting allotments. Next year we hope to run a two day conference, with the first day devoted to general issues, the second devoted to reports from allotment associations around the country. A very welcome development was the number of outside organisations providing information stands in the conference hall.

  • A report from Newsspace services (the insurers for NSALG) giving examples of the problems that can arise on an allotment site and the benefits of taking out insurance.
