Climate Week March 4 – 10

Climate Week runs from 4-10 March 2013 and showcasing real, practical ways to combat climate change it aims to renew the ambition to create a more sustainable, low-carbon future.  The Scottish launch of Climate Week takes place on 4th of March at Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation.  If you want to attend this you can email matt.hawkins@climateweek.com

As part of Climate Week, The Climate Challenge Fund will be providing application and funding advice from 1pm – 5pm on Friday 8th March at St. Ninians Old Parish Church Hall, Stirling. There is no need to book – simply turn up and you’ll be able to chat directly with a Development Officer.   This event should prove of real interest to any allotment group looking for funding.  There is already a long list of allotment groups who have had projects funded by the CCF.

The advice surgeries, will take place as part of ‘open afternoon’ at the hall which received a CCF grant in 2010. The CCF grant funded the installation and promotion of energy efficiency measures such as insulation, windows and lighting which have reduced carbon footprint and substantially reduced bills, while improving facilities.

Visitors will able to see the hall improvements for themselves as well as interpretative displays which showcase the work completed.

There will be further updates on the CCF website and the facebook group regarding the event. Please email   ccfenquiries@ksbscotland.org.uk if you have any queries regarding the event.
