Allotments need: promotion, protection, preservation
Help SAGS to campaign for more allotments in Scotland. There are fewer allotment plots in the whole of Scotland than in the City of Birmingham. Only tireless campaigning supported by an active membership will change this situation.

SAGS is affiliated to The National Allotment Society, a UK wide organisation formerly known as the National Society of Allotments and Leisure Gardeners (NSALG). Membership of SAGS can be combined with membership of NSALG. The combined subscriptions are the same as the single subscription for NSALG. The benefits of this additional membership are:
  • A cheap insurance scheme covering third party liability, association property and members' tools and sheds.
  • access to free legal advice to resolve disputes
  • a seed scheme giving all members the chance to buy seeds from a national supplier at about 1/3 off normal shop prices
  • a quarterly magazine to member societies and a selection of informative leaflets

Download a membership application form here:
  • an individual
  • an allotment association
  • a federation of sites
  • a developing group

Send the completed form to the SAGS treasurer (address on form). Either include a cheque or transfer money electronically using details on the form.
